Learn To Make Pots Like A Saxon
Come join us at the Wareham Town Museum for a fun and interactive event where you can learn to craft pots just like the Saxons did! Our experienced local ceramicists and teachers Anne and Jonathan Easterbrooke will guide you through the process, teaching you ancient techniques and sharing fascinating historical insights.
Anne and Jonathan are Dorset Artists who have been working with clay for many years. Their work is inspired by the beauty of the Purbeck region and they often incorporate locally dug clay into their pieces. Anne works with traditional hand building techniques, experimenting with shapes and using rich glazes full of expression. Jonathan is an expert thrower specializing in making bowls, and has experimented with local clays from all over Purbeck. They both have a passion for sharing their skills and knowledge to help others develop their own creativity. Places are limited and booking is essential.
