Join Swanage Railway and The Irregular Special Players for an interactive evening of crime and detection. “It’s locomotory, my dear Watson”.
Enjoy a Sherlock Holmes mystery with a difference performed in period costume on a period train. Join in the fun as you become suspects in this interactive mystery. Witness the discovery of the body, hunt for clues, and solve the crime while enjoying drinks and treats as you travel on the Swanage Railway.
On arrival you will be given a glass of prosecco or soft drink as you mingle on the platform and become witnesses to the dastardly deed. You will then board our historic Devon Belle Observation Car or 1930’s Maunsell coach to travel up and down the line solving the mystery while you enjoy a chili and nachos snack. On-train drinks can be pre ordered when you book your tickets. There will be a short stop to hunt for clues on one of our historic stations before returning to Swanage to unmask the murderer.
Due to this being an evening service the train will be hauled by our historic class 33 diesel locomotive.
This event begins and ends at Swanage station. This event will be held on our platforms and on board our trains.
Please arrive at Swanage Station for 1830. The evening ends at approximately 22.45.

Pullman Observation Car tickets £55.00 per person
Tickets include a welcome drink of prosecco or orange juice and chili and nachos served on the train. Additional drinks to enjoy on the train can be purchased with your tickets.
